So, hello there failure~

Just finished my finals(maybe?) and it was horrible and I don't mean it in a modest way. I mean it in a OMG WHY CAN'T I UNDERSTAND CIRCUITRY AND PLASMA AND MATHHHHHH kinda way. I seriously have no confidence in whether I can graduate this year. Sigh... I'm usually a fairly optimistic person thinking that "It'll all turn out alright" but what if it doesn't? T___T

I have no idea what to do with my life.

Wish I could just fangirl Kpop forever.

First experiment in making videos. Next up planning on:

1) Changmin Shy Boy Tribute
2) Yoochun Hey Micky Tribute
3) TVXQ Fangirling Tribute
4) Ayy Girl KYHD mash-up video based on Ayy Girl

I really really fail at having a blog that is supposed to be about my 'real life' or 'real thoughts' and all that. I guess it's the whole "The internet is a scary place filled with crazy people. BE CAREFUL" mentality. So my blogs always end up as me fangirling. Not particularly interesting unless you're in the fandom itself.

Some people have a certain... eloquence.. when writing that I just can't seem to grasp. Could this be the cause of mostly being in science side? Unlikely, since I do have friends who were from science side who write their blog with... with... darn my lack of vocabulary, another word that means the same thing as eloquence DX

Anyway, less of my musings and more about my life. Life is okay. Ups and downs, mostly ups, thank goodness. I'm still trying to figure out how to do my research. Sigh... Maybe it's the language barrier or maybe it's my fault. The people in my lab seem to assume that I know what I'm supposed to be doing without actually explaining it to me. Umm yeah, I know that I may speak your language with A LITTLE BIT of fluency but when you start throwing big words around and speak in really really long roundabout sentences, it's like I'm trying to grasp at straws trying to understand. But then, maybe it's my fault for not asking when I don't understand something.

Therein lies one of my problems. I can't ask for help easily. Every time I ask for something(help/favor), it's like I'm ripping out a part of me and putting it to someone else's mercy. It took me ages just to get the courage to ask my senior to help me with something in my research. Sigh... Psychologically, I suppose I don't dare to ask because I'm afraid to look like an idiot in front of people. Darn pride... And if I do ask you a favor, it's because I'm really really really desperate and I'll be steeling myself for a response that would shoot me down. Sigh... It doesn't help that my professor gives me the "How do you not know this???" at most of my questions. MOST. Not all. Arghhhhhh. Why am I in engineering again? T__T

Well this turn out to be an introspective piece rather than about real life. Probably another reason why I fail at writing blogs since I'm more to the introspective side. Or narcissistic. Or something LOL.

Musicals seriously rock my world. Well, musicals AND Neil Patrick Harris(the blonde guy singing in the videos a.k.a Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother). But seriously, I love musicals. Probably in any language. (This probably started all because of all the Disney movies I watched when I was younger).

Although watching my fav TV shows(real people) have musical episodes is hillarious.
For example, Buffy The Vampire Slayer with the episode Once More With Feeling.

Where a demon came and made everybody sing and dance... until they eventually explode.

And one of my fav songs from South Park the movie.

I am seriously abusing YouTube >___<. Anyway, can't forget my favs the Prince of Tennis Musicals. And Bleach Musicals. Which I'll post about sooner or later. OTAKU.

Update on life:
-It is cold. Really cold. 10 degrees cold. (At night, anyway)
-Korean classes are fun.
-Any classes related to science or math is NOT fun. >__<

A Cartoony Trip Down Memory Lane

Does anybody remember this show??? Hahaha. I had a vague memory of them when my bro and sis and I started our old skool cartoon bomb. We scanned through the old skool cartoon videos on YouTube and was hit by the nostalgia bomb so bad that I got the opening themes of most of the cartoons stuck in my head (Popples~ Pop pop pop pop~).

Remember the days before Astro? Before shows were repeated more than once in a week. Before we had channels reaching to the hundreds. The simpler times when NTV7 just started. I remember that most cartoons were usually on the weekends, starting around 8a.m. and I'd wake up early(If only I had that enthusiasm to wake up for school >_<) to watch. My bro and sis and I were reminiscing about all the old cartoons and shows we used to watch. Shows like Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Sesame Street, Power Rangers, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Conan the Adventurer, Double Dragon, Thundercats, etc.

I remembered there was a Sonic Adventures show where Robotnik had 2 henchmens. A chicken and some weird green drill robot. We were soooo young then. But then my bro showed me THIS.

Seriously, I can't really remember what happened in the story but I totally cracked up hearing the queen speak her lines. XDXDXD And I think Knuckles was here somewhere. KNUCKLES!!! My fav red echidna~

I remember when I was back in Malaysia during the summer, my bro and I were talking about all the cartoons we used to watch(some were on Astro I think). Mighty Ducks, Darkwing Duck, He-Man, X-Men, Spiderman, example of conversation:

Bro: The show with the cows!!
Me: Cows??? O__o What cows?
Bro: You know... the cowboy cows!

As it turned out, this was the show.

Me: BIKER MICE FROM MARS!!!
Bro & Sis: BIKER MICE FROM MARS!!!
Sis: I wanted to be the leader~
Me: Hey, I wanted to be the leader.
Bro: .....

And then my bro remembered something... Something that seemed soooo unbelievable that it couldn't be true... (At this point my sis was already asleep)

Me: ????? What red mask guy?
Bro: The red mask! He was wearing a red mask.
Me: Was it a helmet or a mask?
Bro: A mask. But it didn't cover his hair.
Me: What was the show?
Bro: ....I don't remember. But there was a group of them. But he wasn't the leader.

Me & Bro: -_- No idea.
Bro: He also had a green coat.

In the end, we still couldn't remember.

Well, I went back to Japan and just a few days ago we started another nostalgia bomb with Gargoyles, Mummies Alive, etc. when my brother brought up the mysterious character again.

Bro: It can't be just my imagination! I think he's real...

Well, as I was clicking through the old skool cartoon vids on YouTube, I asked him to describe the character again when suddenly I noticed some guy with a red mask and hair on the starting image of one of the videos. I clicked and was filled with anticipation... then my bro reminded me about the green coat, but the guy I saw didn't have a green coat. Until I saw his fellow group members and there was this guy with a green coat and red mask!!!!!!!!!!

IT WAS GRIFTER ON WILDC.A.T.S!!!!!!!

Hey, it might not seem important to you guys but we were ecstatic beyond words. After many months of not knowing whether the mysterious red masked, green coat wearing man existed, we *cough*I*cough* finally found him. XDXDXDXD
I can't believe I forgot about this show! I used to think Zealot(the lady with swords) was awesome.

This is why some memories shouldn't be forgotten. Hehe.

On a totally unrelated note: Check Gifu, Mie, Saitama, Utsunomiya off my list of places to visit in Japan. I can't believe we all actually went all the way to MIE to eat 'maguro'(tuna) -_-; It was worth it!!!. The scenery was lovely though. And the thought "If I didn't get accepted to Tohoku University, I'd probably be living my Japan life here in Mie~" kept running through my head. The trip was fun and there are certain 'perisitiwa's that I'd probably never forget. XDXDXDXD

The Mirotic video is AWESOME and oh how I wish Changmin didn't cut his hair... T__T
Love his hair in the video~ Love Hey!Don't Bring Me Down. The bass is sooo catchy. And YAY Changmin wrote the Korean version of Love in the Ice(although I still kinda prefer the Japanese version). And I also got Nobody by Wonder Girls stuck in my head. "I want nobody nobody but you *clap clap*" XDXD

Raya was fun. Lots of food and visiting and cooking and eating and liveliness and stuff. ^____^

Studies however are not fun. And in fact, one of my major cause of stress. T____T

TVXQ(Tohoshinki) - Love in the Ice (T Concert)

One of my memories of the T Concert was looking at Maziah who was standing beside me and asking whether Tohoshinki will sing Love in the Ice(because I love this song). And not many words can describe the thrill I got when I heard the opening for this song. When Junsu started at 3:36, I was amazed by 2 things.
1) Their voices.
2) The fact that I was actually seeing them sing this song right in front of my eyes.
When Yoochun hit the high note at 4:04, all I could do was just grin like the fangirl I am. It's a beautiful song and a favourite of mine.

Iwate-Miyagi Nairiku Earthquake

As some people might know, there was an earthquake in the Tohoku area yesterday. This was taken from wikipedia:

The 2008 Iwate earthquake, officially named by the Japan Meteorological Agency the Iwate-Miyagi Nairiku Earthquake in 2008, struck northeastern Honshū, Japan, on June 14, 2008. The earthquake occurred in Iwate Prefecture at 39.0° N 140.9° E (about 60 miles (97 km) north-northwest of Sendai, 240 miles (390 km) north of Tokyo) at 8:43 am JST on June 14, 2008 (2008-06-13 23:43Z). The magnitude of the quake was 7.2. The strongest shaking was recorded in Ōshū, Iwate and Kurihara, Miyagi, both of which recorded a shindo of 6+. The United States Geological Survey placed the magnitude at 6.8.

At least 9 people died and 100+ people were injured and some missing because of yesterday's quake.

Huhu. The Malaysian students of Tohoku Chihou had a football match in Iwate that day so me(and the rest of the Malaysian students) were headed to Hanamaki-minami, Iwate that day. If I remembered correctly, it was just a few minutes after the Navi announced "Iwate ni tsukimashita(Reached Iwate)" when the car we were in suddenly started swerving left and right and I was wondering what's going on because our dear driver usually doesn't drive like that. Among the theories that came out while we were in the car when all this happened was "Jalan licin! Licin!" followed by "Taufan ke???" and then followed by "Ke tayar pancit??" when suddenly our driver, Encik Afizul, came to this conclusion "Jishin???(Earthquake???)" at which I panickedly told him to stop the car at the side of the road. Thankfully, he(and the other drivers of the Malaysian students of Sendai) managed to do that. Luckily. Really grateful there was no accident and everybody is safe.

It was about magnitude 6 where we were during the quake. We sat there in the car watching and feeling the trees on the hills shake, the electric wires shake, and basically everything shake for quite a long time. And this is when I remembered my seniors telling me that last Friday was the the 30th anniversary of a big earthquake in Miyagi. So right now the probability of a big earthquake hitting Miyagi is about 99%... According to what my senior discussed with his Japanese friends, yesterday wasn't the big earthquake that was expected to hit Miyagi as the epicenter was not off the shores of Miyagi(unlike the previous large earthquake). Everybody, be prepared!! Hopefully, we all will be safe.

Other than the Miyagi students, Akita students also just reached Iwate when the earthquake happened. The Ibaraki students just reached the carpark of Hanamaki-minami Sports center(well, the football field area). Luckily, no Malaysian students were hurt. I think. If Cik Huda is reading my blog "Huda! Korg ok x??"

Lastly, to Miyagi Aliens and everybody who was involved in the Football Tournament "Otsukare minna!!!".

Thursday: Have to hand in 2 psychology reports which I haven't done yet. (DOOMED)
Friday: Have to hand in and do interview for Programming report. No clue how to do Number 3. T__T
Next Monday: Electromagnetism Mid-Term exam.
Next Tuesday: Probably going to retake menkyou shiken.

Analysis of 'gingerbread man's vitality' lyrics//Personality and bloodtype

I actually realized that the line "Maybe my love is bigger than the gingerbread man's vitality"(from Micky Yoochun's solo "My Girlfriend") actually makes sense. >__<

The gingerbread man is a character in a poem called "The Gingerbread Man Poem". Vitality=energy and enthusiasm. Now in this poem, the gingerbread man runs A LOT. Really. His famous line is "Run, run, as fast as you can, You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!" Which basically means he has A LOT of energy a.k.a vitality. A possibly neverending supply of energy(He got eaten in the end but that was because he trusted a FOX and not because he was tired). So, saying that your love is bigger than the gingerbread man's vitality is like saying the amount of love you have for someone is... well... HUGE/A LOT/NEVER ENDING.

Yoochun oppa... So much love♥ for you and your mind right now.

Proof that Changmin's English pronunciation is brilliant!!! I love hearing him and Yoochun speak and sing in English. ♥_________♥What's surprising is Changmin. I mean, Chunnie lived in America, so his English isn't that bad. But Min is the same like Jaejoong, Yunho and Junsu. Yet his English pronunciation is better. But I still love hearing all of TVXQ speak and sing in English. ^__^

Spent the whole night fangirling over TVXQ with Thira. They'll be in Saitama on Monday and she's going to their concert! I want to go again too!!!!!!!!! T____T

Japan through the seasons

There are many things about Japan and Malaysia which are different. From the culture, to the people to the way rubbish is managed. But one thing that strikes me the most is definitely the seasons. The seasons which affect the life of the Japanese people.

Let's start with spring which begins around April. Spring is the beginning of the school year for the students in Japan. And of course, when you think of spring, you'll always think of the sakuras, the cherry blossom.

When the sakuras start blooming, everyone would go for 'hanami'. Which is basically sitting down under the sakura tree, eating and drinking and just having fun with your friends and families. The sakuras only bloom for a while and then they fall. So you can only see sakuras in this short time.

Then, we have summer. Summer in Japan is very hot. Very very hot. Very very very hot. In fact, I think in Osaka, the hottest was nearly 40 degrees celcius. Summer in Japan is kinda like Malaysia (yay for summer all year round!) except, well, not as comfortable?And after summer, we have autumn/fall. Where the leaves on the trees turn from green to red and yellow. I especially like the red leaves. Hehe.
And it is during this time that we have 'kouyou'. Where we go and enjoy the view of the leaves. (Yes, apparently Japanese like to enjoy the view a lot... XP). Because the leaves are only this brightly coloured for a while. Then they fall too. And the trees are left bare.

And that's when you know it's winter. Plus, when it start getting below 10 degrees, you'll definitely know it's starting to be winter. The worse part of winter, the cold. The freezing cold. Best part, watching snow fall down and covering everything. Another worse part, walking through the snow and falling down.

Which didn't really happen, coz snow only really starts falling around January/February in Sendai. Oh well... It's still cool.

Soon the snow will melt and it's back to spring and the cycle starts again. ^__^

And that is some part of Japan through the seasons.
